DoctorMac is on Main Street in Irvington, NY. I highly recommend them if you need a repair or a new machine, accessory or some advice. They are knowledgable and friendly. The Apple stores are great but it’s a crowd scene. DoctorMac is personal and focused.

I credit Terminally Incoherent for posting these. I am adding this to my blog so I can find it easier and possibly others can as well.

I am also adding some code for working with currency columns by way of a custom parser.

You will need to include the following for jQuery.

The columns are counted 0,1,2,… etc so the “0″ above is the first column. You would use the number of the column you want sorted this way.

Now that I know there are free and easy readers, I grabbed this app for the iPhone, QR Reader.

I was able to see that from scanning the Hershey pic off my computer screen that they link to a trivia game. I also discovered these QR codes are an easy way to transfer information like urls, contact information and more into an iPhone or other device with a camera and app.

Start the app and point it at the screen you should see how easy it is.

Apparently you can get really creative with the QR Codes as well.

We went to the Makers Fair this weekend and every booth had a QR Code to make it easy to capture and check out later without having to write down a name or take yet another piece of paper. It instantly saves the url into your phone or iPad or other device.

I think it’s kind of cool, then again I am a geek by profession.

This removed all the old junk. Then I did a “do-release-upgrade” and everything went well. This was on a VM hosted solution from slicehost.com who I would highly recommend.

Always backup before you do an upgrade like this. Slicehost has fantastic services for this.

Since 10.04 is a LTS (long term Service) release I probably won’t need this again until 2012 so good to document here.

sa-learn –spam <spam folder path>

This can greatly decrease the spam you see.
